Piano Maker Walter Heller began producing bass strings in 1985. Five years later he built his own factory. In 1997, his son Gregor, a piano maker like his father, took over the firm. Today, Hellerbass with its seven employees supplies repair shops and branches of the piano manufacturing industry (e.g. SEILER, STEINGRAEBER, PFEIFFER, SAUTER, BECHSTEIN and more) with bass strings for upright and grand pianos. 50% of which are sold to foreign customers.
